Herschel’s Restaurants were founded by Herschel F. Witherspoon in the 1970’s. Herschel started his restaurant career with Dairy Queen in McKinney, Texas in 1960. From this beginning, Herschel Witherspoon expanded into several successful different restaurant concepts including his own Herschel’s Restaurants. Today, Herschel’s son, Richard Witherspoon is following in his dad’s footsteps, as the person in charge of operating the group of family friendly restaurants. Richard continues to uphold his dad’s 5 star excellence through his hard work and service, his dedication to his guests and staff, and his commitment to community.
